“We live in Capitalism, its power seems inescapable, so did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings.”- Ursula K. Le Guin
Winter Embodiment Series: Capitalism and the Body
Start the year engaging deeply with the ways the logics of capitalism impact your relationship with your body. Unravel capitalism’s hold on you as you expand into your body, deepen connection with your self, and cultivate intentional relationships with the world around you.
Participants will develop their understanding of capitalism, and be offered space to process their own relationships with capitalism as it is known, felt, and moves their bodies. The program combines 1:1 coaching (biweekly), course time (full group, biweekly), herbal recommendations for the season, and weekly reading reflection prompts.
Together, we will read Silvia Federici’s Caliban and the Witch: Women, the Body, and Primitive Accumulation followed by The Body is Not an Apology: The Power of Radical Self Love by Sonya Renee Taylor. Each week, you will receive reflection prompts. We will meet as a group twice a month for discussion and interactive learning.
Our biweekly, 1:1 coaching time will center around building your awareness and connection with yourself and the world around you.
